Transcinema is Peru's leading avant-garde film festival. It presents films that explore cinematographic language and avoid thematic and formal clichés, with no length limits from around the world and as exclusive Peruvian premieres. The festival has two competitive categories: International Competition (for films from outside Peru produced since 2025, requesting Peruvian premiere) and Transandina Competition (for films from Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela produced since 2025, requesting Peruvian release).
Filmmakers from Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and the rest of the world who have produced documentary, fiction, animation or experimental films since January 2025.
