What it is

Open call for a rotating group exhibition exploring the theme 'Woeste Grond' (wild ground) at the Vloethemveld in Zedelgem. Artists are invited to engage with the physical earth of the Vloethemveld as a deep, resistant memory—a living archive of successive land uses and conflicts. The exhibition will feature works responding to the area's historical scars, from medieval clearances to former munitions depot heritage to rare flora. Selected works will be installed in a dynamic rotating display in two green barracks, changing every three weeks throughout summer 2027. An exclusive guided tour of the site is offered on 16 September 2026 to help artists understand the area's multiple layers.

Who it is for

Artists who wish to create work in response to the Vloethemveld landscape and its history.
