What it is

A German-French co-production funding programme (Minitraité) where film projects jointly planned with a French production partner receive conditional repayable loans from both Germany and France. The funding is administered jointly by the FFA and the French Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC). Feature films, documentaries, and animations must be at least 79 minutes; children's films must be at least 59 minutes. Cinema release in both countries is required. Third-country participation is permitted in limited scope. Applicants must have a registered business presence in Germany and demonstrate preliminary BAFA certification and a distribution agreement from a German distributor.
