Deutsch-Französische Koproduktionsfonds

What it is

A co-production funding programme for feature, animation and documentary films of at least 79 minutes (59 minutes for children's films) planned with French partners. Films must be intended for theatrical release in both countries. Applications must be submitted simultaneously by German producers at the FFA and French producers at the CNC. Filming must not have begun before application. The annual funding pool is €3.2 million from both countries combined, with €200,000 reserved for producer development through the German-French Project Development Fund.

What you get

Conditional repayable loans up to 20 percent of the German co-production share, with a maximum of €300,000 for majority co-producers or €200,000 for minority co-producers.
