Music Director: New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir

What it is

Fixed-term Music Director role leading the prestigious New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir, a nationally prominent youth choir with international reputation since 1986. The role covers 2027 and 2028 with possible extension. You will develop artistic vision, select repertoire reflecting musical excellence and cultural identity of Aotearoa, lead all rehearsals and performances including national and international tours, mentor young singers, commission new works, contribute to the CANZ Artistic Advisory Group, and represent NZSSC at public and media events.

Who it is for

Choral conductors with proven experience leading high-level national choirs who understand or are willing to engage with Te Ao Māori and Pasifika musical traditions.
