The Barcelona Experimental Photo Festival selects 12 artists for solo exhibitions in Barcelona. The festival welcomes experimental photography in all forms: analogue, digital, historical, alternative, hybrid, expanded and interdisciplinary practices. Projects can be finished, in progress, previously exhibited or still developing. There is no fixed theme. The jury considers artistic strength, experimental approach, originality, conceptual clarity, exhibition potential, and openness to collaboration.
Photographers, visual artists, multidisciplinary artists and collectives from anywhere in the world working with experimental photography practices.
Open to artists anywhere.

Selected artists receive a €150 artist fee, up to €200 exhibition production budget, a €999 Ágora Diploma in Experimental Photography (12-month educational programme), solo exhibition in Barcelona in July 2027, curatorial and production support, festival access, international visibility, and priority accommodation access.
