What it is

The FIBA Photo Contest 2026, now in its 10th edition, celebrates basketball culture through photography. Photographers choose among three categories: Elite Basketball (elite leagues, major tournaments, international championships, decisive plays, players, coaches, teams, and supporters); Community Basketball (grassroots settings, Basketball For Good initiatives, schools, playgrounds, local courts, and games in public spaces); and Vintage Basketball (historical photographs documenting courts, streets, clubs, schools, tournaments, or community gatherings with emphasis on atmosphere, people, style, and cultural heritage). Each photographer may submit up to five single JPEG/JPG files (minimum 1500px on longest side). No text or logos may be placed over images. For Vintage Basketball, photographs taken by someone else may be entered only if the participant holds necessary legal authority (copyright ownership, heirship, valid transfer, or express written authorization). AI-generated or AI-altered images are prohibited; only basic adjustments (saturation, contrast, sharpness, color temperature, white/color balance, noise reduction) are permitted.
