What it is

Choral Art is a launch pad for emerging ensemble singers offering a unique opportunity to learn from and sing alongside members of Chanticleer. Twelve residency participants will rehearse side by side with Chanticleer, exploring repertoire spanning Renaissance polyphony, popular arrangements, and contemporary commissions. The residency culminates in a three-day Choral Art Festival weekend where participants are joined by an additional 40 singers for final concerts, workshops, and artistic exchange. The program includes workshops on vocal techniques for small ensemble singers, musicianship for vocal performers, ensemble techniques for performing without a conductor, building a professional singing career, physical and mental well-being, and working with composers on new commissions.

Who it is for

Pre-professional individual ensemble singers aged 18 and over with experience in vocal ensemble performance and strong interest in a cappella vocal chamber music.
