What it is

The Senefelder Award has been awarded since 1975 to honour Alois Senefelder, the inventor of lithography. It recognises outstanding artistic achievements in artistic lithography and its further development in flatbed printing. One original colour or multicolour print from the areas of lithography, flatbed drawing, or mixed printing may be submitted. The work must have been created in 2023 or later, must not exceed 100 x 70 cm, and cannot be a photomechanical, halftone, or digital print. Works produced by hand press or motorised printing machine are accepted. Winners will be announced in summer 2028 at a public celebration in Offenbach am Main.
