The Programa Ciclo de Saberes with Masters and Teachers of Traditional and Popular Cultures and Arts seeks to bring together Federal Institutions of Higher Education, communities holding traditional and popular knowledge, and public basic education schools. The programme promotes exchange between scientific knowledge, traditional knowledge, and cultural practices. Selected actions must observe the constitutional principle of inseparability between teaching, research and extension, as well as guidelines for dialogical interaction, impact on student training, and social transformation. Three mandatory activity lines: activities by masters and teachers at higher education institutions; activities in the spaces of masters and teachers; and activities in public basic education schools.
